Motorens utrolige præstation begynder med kernen i motoren - stator. Statorens profil er designet internt for at opnå maksimalt moment og effekt uden at gå på kompromis med omdrejningstallet. Kvalitetskobbermagnettråd, dimensioneret til det maksimale tilladte og viklet omhyggeligt for at holde modstanden nær det lovlige minimum, er behandlet med varmeoverførende epoxy for at sprede varme og reducere interne temperaturer, hvilket resulterer i mindre fade i løbet af løbet. En overdimensioneret kollektorringsform fordeler ikke kun varme, men reducerer også modstanden og effekttabet i samarbejde med tykke loddeklapper.
En afbalanceret rotor har en kraftig magnet, der udnytter de dimensionelle regler fuldt ud for at producere kraft uden fade med maksimal effektivitet. Rotor understøttes af præcisions-kuglelejer i rustfrit stål for at imødekomme høje omdrejningstal med enestående effektivitet og pålidelighed. Som alle Reedy Sonic-motorer har den en kvalitets sensorkort.
Eksternt anvender SP5 et letvægts to-delt CNC-maskinbearbejdet aluminiumhus med en aluminiums endekappe og justerbar timing for at tilpasse finjustering til specifikke applikationer. Denne lette pakke forbedrer køretøjets håndtering og chassis-tilpasningsmuligheder
