How to Use the Tool:
When installing the clutch shoes, place the tool’s spring guide (hook) under the clutch spring. Turn the tool counterclockwise to lift the spring over the clutch nut and push to set the shoe in place. Then turn clockwise to let the spring guide rotate out from the clutch spring. If the spring is not seated correctly, you can use the top of the tool to press the spring into the groove of the clutch nut. For removal, place the spring guide under the clutch spring, then turn counterclockwise to lift the spring out of the groove and pull the tool off to remove the shoe and spring.
