1/10 R/C The Falcon (2026)

Tamiya The Falcon returns in an updated 2026 version, combining the classic off-road buggy look from 1986 with modern improvements to the drivetrain and overall durability. The model keeps the iconic styling and lively driving feel that made the original so popular, while adding refinements that make it better suited to today’s RC use.

This is a 1/10 scale R/C assembly kit with a 2WD chassis, plastic bathtub frame and a 0.7 mm polycarbonate body based on the original The Falcon. The classic buggy shape, updated stickers and simple, functional chassis make it appealing to collectors, Tamiya fans and drivers looking for a nostalgic buggy with practical upgrades.

One of the key improvements is found in the rear trailing arm driveline, where assembly universal shafts help prevent the drive shafts from dropping out during demanding off-road driving. Together with full ball bearings, this provides a more efficient and reliable drivetrain with improved durability and power transfer.

The suspension uses CVA oil dampers at the front and rear, with short dampers at the front and longer dampers at the rear. This gives the model better control on uneven surfaces and supports the classic buggy driving style with stability, traction and response on loose terrain.

The Falcon comes with a Tamiya Type 540 Motor and Hobbywing/Tamiya ESC, giving you a solid electronics foundation in the kit. To complete the model, a 2-channel R/C system with one servo, transmitter batteries, a 7.4V battery pack and charger are required.
